About Me

Hometown: I was born in Ramallah, Palestine, where I spent the first half of my childhood.

Professional Goal(s): My professional journey began in applied research, where I contributed to several projects and program evaluations that centered around education and teen pregnancy prevention. More recently, I was the director of a community-based college access program, serving low-income, minority, and first-generation high schoolers. As a Ph.D. student, I am eager to merge my passion for research, leadership, and community-based youth programming in order to teach at a university and/or lead a community-based youth organization upon completion of my doctoral degree.

My Leisure Interests: In my free time, I enjoy cooking, interior design, traveling, and exploring music from across the world.
