Carrie Badillo is a fourth-year doctoral student specializing in the quantitative analysis of large government datasets to explore the school experiences of marginalized youth, focusing on school contexts, victimization, trauma, and resilience. Currently, she is expanding her expertise to include qualitative research to capture the nuanced dimensions of these experiences. Outside of her academic work, Carrie enjoys being a mom to her 16-year-old son, Stephen, caring for her four dogs—Dani, Kobe, Loki, and Pinky—and tending to her plants. An outdoor enthusiast, she loves camping, gardening, reading, and spending time with family.
