The Department of Hospitality and Retail Management offers an Advanced Wedding and Conference Management online certification designed to prepare individuals to become event planners or enhance their skills. Gain skills and knowledge of top wedding planning trends, event planning, and conference management.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov), meeting, convention, and event planners, earned a median annual salary of $51,560 as of May 2020.
Students will take four courses to complete the certificate:
- HRM 6316 - Advanced Marketing in HRM
- HRM 5355 - Advanced Entrepreneurship in the Services Industry
- HRM 5342 - Advanced Wedding Planning
- HRM 5360 - Advanced Event Planning
