Accelerated Path to a Master's Degree

Retail Management Accelerated B.S. to M.S. Texas Tech

The accelerated bachelor's-to-master's degree program allows academically capable students to accelerate their undergraduate degree programs, begin graduate work in their fourth year, and finish both the bachelor's and master's degrees in a total of approximately five years. This is accomplished by allowing 4 hours of graduate coursework in the M.S. in Hospitality and Retail Management to count toward both the master's degree and the undergraduate degree in Retail Management.

In the bachelor's degree, you will get 300 to 400 hours of experience in retail sales workplaces, including corporate retail offices and retail stores specializing in fashion merchandising. You also will have the opportunity to host Texas Tech's annual student-run retail symposium and retail reception. You will have the opportunity to give back to the community with The Texas Tech Retail Association's community-oriented projects.

At the master's level, you will have the opportunity to make a global impact on consumer retail, hospitality, and tourism experiences by:

  • Participating in study abroad
  • Researching industry trends
  • Working with live industry and company data
  • Virtual reality planning
  • Sustainability coursework
  • Exploring diversity and equity in retail
