The event will include Hors D’oeuvres, 3 Course Dinner and Accompanying Wine Pairings
The Texas Tech University Hospitality & Retail Management (HRM) will host a fundraising dinner in celebration of HRM faculty member and award winning chef, Mark Schneider, and his recent American Chef Federation (ACF) Gold Medal. This dinner will be hosted from 5:45-7:30 p.m. July 14 at the Skyviews Restaurant, located on the top floor of the Texas Tech Plaza.
Community members are invited to enjoy the cash bar, a silent auction and a three course meal. The meal has an entrée choice of the gold medal grouper fish entrée, beef tenderloin or vegetarian. Wine pairings will be served with each course.
Attendees will experience the award winning dish in advance of Chef Schneider's Battle of the Chefs competition in Penang, Malaysia. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Texas Tech Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management (RHIM) program and Chef Schneider's culinary competition.
Skyviews Restaurant is used as a learning facility for HRM students, where they can gain hands-on experience, serving community members and cooking elegant meals. Students gain skills from industry-standard practices and business focused courses. These experiences are used to advance them into the field and help them get jobs right after graduation.
