Hello, my name is Jessica Byrd. I have a master's degree in information and library science and a bachelor's degree in education. I taught English in a traditional high school classroom for several years before joining Texas Tech K-12 in 2012. I currently teach high school English to our international and stateside students. I enjoy building relationships with my students, helping them become more confident writers and watching them grow in their love and appreciation for literature. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and three children, traveling, hiking, gardening and enjoying a hot cup of tea and a good book. I look forward to having you in my class!
