Teacher
Texas Tech K-12

I am a graduate of Texas Tech University earning a B.S. in Secondary Education and a M.S. in Educational Administration. I worked for the Lubbock ISD for 30 years as a teacher, assistant principal, associate principal, and retired in May 2011 as the executive director of personnel. I began teaching health and sociology at TTU in 1990. I enjoy teaching because it provides me an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a student. Even though I don't have face to face interaction with students, I encourage them by sending responses after each lesson and providing support any way I can. If students can relate the health/sociology to their real lives they will learn much faster and remember much longer. That is what is so neat about teaching health and sociology.
