TTU K-12 Welcomes Samantha Dillard as Assistant Director of Marketing

Aside from word-of-mouth, the next best way to spread awareness about something might just be a skilled and knowledgeable promotions and public relations person dedicated to that end. In July, TTU K-12 welcomed Samantha Dillard to its staff as assistant director of marketing.

With more than a decade of experience in marketing and communications, Dillard most recently worked as communications director for student nutrition at Lubbock Independent School District and now brings her experience to TTU K-12.

“I love not only working in a fast-paced and exciting environment packed with opportunities, but also working in a field that is always evolving,” Dillard said.

She is up to the challenge of finding new and innovative ways to spread the good news about TTU K-12. Her other experience includes the Odessa Chamber of Commerce as its marketing and communications specialist and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal as a digital specialist, among others. Dillard earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Texas Tech, of which she is visibly proud.

“Being born and raised in Lubbock, I grew up always knowing I would someday be a Red Raider. Now not only do I have a bachelor's degree from the best university in the nation, Texas Tech University, but I am being paid to brag about it. I am excited to share the amazing things that TTU K-12 has to offer,” Dillard beamed.

In her free time, Dillard enjoys traveling, being outdoors or relaxing with her husband Ryan, son Trayson and their two pups, Rafiki and Trigger.
