Greetings, Texas Tech K-12 Family!

Superintendent Cari Moye

It’s hard to believe we’re at the end of another calendar year and another successful fall semester for our school. Time seems to move faster when there are great things happening in our district, and we’re glad you’re a part of them.

First, I am thrilled to share that I have stepped into the role of acting superintendent. I am eager to continue leading Texas Tech K-12 with a clear vision and fresh initiatives.

Something to focus on are more dual-credit opportunities and growth of our College Prep Academy, which was launched earlier this year. Find out more here.

I also want to continue finding innovative ways to connect students, whether it’s through student council, on-campus events or regional meetups, like Raiderpalooza, which premiered at the DFW site in January. Read more about our next one in this newsletter.

Another recent rewarding development is the renewal of our Purple Star Campus status through the Texas Education Agency and the governor’s office, showing our commitment to military families. Texas Tech K-12 is a viable option for families needing portability and flexibility.

We are excited to announce we will be launching a new Learning Management System (LMS). We will begin phasing out Blackboard and launch courses in Canvas this spring. We are pleased with the possibilities this LMS can provide for our students.

As we look forward to a new year, the spring semester and another Texas Tech K-12 commencement, please know we’re always here to help. Contact us anytime at ttuk12@ttu.edu. Thanks for being part of the Texas Tech K-12 family.

Sincerely,

Cari Moye
Acting Superintendent
