TTU K-12 Graduates Direct Assured Admission to Texas Tech University

 

Whether you're a stateside or an international student, we're proud of your accomplishments. We would be honored for you to consider attending Texas Tech University for your college experience.

The university has facilitated a fast-track admissions process for TTU K-12 graduates.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has provided the following details on this process. Please contact them if you have any additional questions.

Stateside Admission Requirements TTU K-12 

Stateside applicants attending the TTU K-12 program must do the following to be considered for admission at Texas Tech University:

  • Submit a New First Time application on either ApplyTexas or CommonApp
  • Pay a non-refundable $75 application fee OR provide qualifying fee waiver documentation. More information on fee waiver eligibility can be found here.
  • Submit official ACT or SAT test scores. Applicants who apply as test optional will have their score requirement waived.
  • Applicants will not need to provide TTU K-12 transcripts; Undergraduate Admissions staff will request these on your behalf once your application has been received.
  • Create a RaiderConnect account to pay the application fee or submit fee waiver documentation, submit unofficial transcripts and supplemental documents, check your application status, and register for events hosted by Undergraduate Admissions.
    Note: You will need to create your RaiderConnect account with your name and email address as it appears on your application.

Stateside students who successfully complete all requirements and graduate from TTU K-12 may gain assured admission to Texas Tech University if they meet the following criteria:

After all required documentation is received via email, a decision will be given within two business days via email.

Students who do not meet these requirements, or who apply test-optional to Texas Tech University will be evaluated holistically based on the following:

  • Academic course selection (Honors, AP, Dual Credit, IB)
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Leadership experience
  • Civic or other service activities
  • Socioeconomic background
  • Family educational background
  • Special talents or awards
  • Diversity of experience and background

International Admission Requirements TTU K-12

TTU K-12 international students are those that do not hold U.S. Citizenship or Permanent residence and are studying outside of the United States. These students may provide the international undergraduate admissions office with unofficial documents for evaluation purposes. International students will be able to email unofficial TTU K-12 transcripts with a Subject line: Fast-Track TTUK-12 to internationals@ttu.edu. After all required documentation is received via email, a decision will be given within two business days via email. As long as the student meets the minimum GPA requirement of the university, the student will be automatically conditionally admitted.

International students who wish to continue with their admissions process, must fulfill the following application requirements:

  • Complete an international application for admission through ApplyTexas Application or Common App or the TTU International Application.
  • Pay a $75 non-refundable and non-waivable application fee.
  • Provide English translations of official high school transcript(s) from the high school in their country, showing GPA and class rank; if the transcript does not have a rank one will be assigned.
  • English Proficiency is waived for two years completed at a U.S. accredited high school; student must submit an official TTU K-12 program transcript with two years completed.
  • Sign the First Time in College Acknowledgement Form
  • Create a RaiderConnect account to pay the application fee, submit an unofficial transcript, submit supplemental documents, check your application status, and register for events hosted by Undergraduate Admissions.
    Note: Create your RaiderConnect account with the name and email address as it appears on your application.
