    • Reading: Required reading for the day.
    • Learning Activities: This area will list the learning activities, which will include slideshows, worksheets, and other items. These learning activities are for student practice only, and will not be turned in or graded by the teacher.
    • Graded Assignments: A list of assignments that are turned in for a grade. Submission instructions are provided for each assignment.

    Assignment: Personal Narrative (Final Draft) (1.3.5)

    This is a graded assignment. Follow the Submission Instructions below to submit your revised draft for grading.
    Now that you have completed all of the Steps to Writing, you will submit the final copy for a grade.
    Remember, for your Personal Narrative Essay you will need to follow the writing prompt and requirements:

    • Write a story about something you have done to make the world a better place.

    • This essay will require
      • characters.
      • a beginning, a middle, and an end.
      • a conflict and resolution.
      • details about the character’s actions, thoughts, and feelings.
      • correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
      • your best handwriting.

    • Paragraphs:
      • Introduction (2-3 sentences): Tell about you and what you did to help.
      • Body Paragraph (5 sentences): Tell the events of the story. Provide your story’s who, when, where, what, and how.
      • Conclusion (2-3 sentences): Tell how your action made the world a better place.

    Submission Instructions

    Parent: Scan or take a photograph of the student's completed activity using your mobile device and upload it to a cloud service. Note: We strongly recommend saving a copy on your computer, as well! Once the files are available, upload them using the following instructions:

    1. Click on either the Browse Local Files or Browse Cloud Service button below.
    2. Navigate to where the file is saved on your computer or cloud service.
    3. Identify the correct file and click the Open or Select button.
    4. Your file name will be visible in the "Attach Files" section.
    5. When ready, click the Submit button to submit your file(s) for grading.
