TSI Testing Information

The TSI Assessment test is now available online through approved proctoring vendors – appointments are readily available. Please visit Academic Testing Services to request an Off-Campus Testing Voucher.

Students are strongly encouraged to take the TSI Assessment test before coming to orientation to determine placement in college courses.

If you think you might be exempt, please see TSI Exemptions to determine if you need to take the TSI Assessment test.

If you are not exempt, you must take the TSI Assessment test.

Please note: Compass, Accuplacer, THEA, and Asset no longer satisfy the TSI requirement. The TSI Assessment is a test that is only administered in Texas.

Students who have taken the TSI Assessment at another Texas public institution must send a copy of the official score report or official college transcript to the TSI Compliance Office.
