Texas Tech’s ‘Vision & Tradition Campaign’ surpasses $900 million mark

‘Vision and Tradition: The Campaign for Texas Tech’ has surpassed $900 million as funds are raised toward its $1 billion goal. Already surpassing gifts raised from previous campaigns, the ‘Vision & Tradition’ capital campaign is easily the most successful and largest fundraising effort in the history of the Texas Tech University System, university leaders report. CASNR dean receives American Society of Animal Science Morrison Award

AFS’s Mark Miller receives national ‘ASAS Meat Science Research Award’

Texas Tech’s nationally-honored meat judging coach and long-time animal science professor Mark Miller has been selected to receive the American Society of Animal Science’s Meat Science Research Award. Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team takes third at Reciprocal Meat Conference

Texas Tech’s Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team rolled to a third place finish last month at the American Meat Science Association’s Reciprocal Meat Conference in Fargo, N.D. “This group of students worked extremely hard and it showed in Fargo,” said Loni Woolley, a meat science graduate student and one of the team’s coaches. Water, Energy & Natural Resources Innovation & Research Cluster launches

To answer the increasing complexity of water resources issues, Texas Tech is in the early stages of developing a Water, Energy, and Natural Resources Innovation and Research Cluster.
