Akhilesh Shakya

Biography

  1. Dr. Shakya is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Bioengineering program at Whitacre College of Engineering. He has developed and characterized novel temperature-sensitive polymers for antigen delivery to develop experimental autoimmune disease models. His current research interests include the development of cutting-edge biomedical tools and devices for treating inflammatory disorders like allergies and autoimmune disorders. Dr. Shakya has published several peer-reviewed research and reviews articles in top-rank journals. He also has many professional collaborations with several institutes and research organizations around the world.
