TTU Food Pantry - Name, Logo Design Contest, and Fill our shelves

Purpose: The TTU Food Pantry was established in the fall of 2017 with the mission to reduce hunger and food insecurity among TTU students while encouraging campus engagement and education on how to reduce food insecurity. We need your help to re-name the TTU Food Pantry and design a logo . The name and logo will be used to publicize the food pantry to the TTU community.

Logo and Naming Contest Guidelines:

Design logo and name the TTU Food Pantry.

Please do not submit copyrighted material without permission. Be sure to follow guidelines on the use of the Double T. Information on proper use can be found at: http://graphics.fansonly.com/schools/text/graphics/t-standards.gif

Winning design may be altered as necessary to meet university ID guidelines and usage needs.

Designs come from current TTU students only.

The criteria for judging are as follows: originality and recognition of food pantry purpose/useCreate your design in graphics software (preferred format is pdf or jpg), or draw a detailed sketch. Include your name and contact information. Submissions can be email to foodpantry@ttu.edu. Use "Logo and Naming Contest" in the subject line.

Deadline is Friday, April 13th at 5pm. Winning student will receive notification mid-April.

The winner will receive a TTU signed basketball & a gift card and being able to claim responsibility for creation of name and logo of the TTU Food Pantry.

Make a Gift

The success of the food pantry will depend on the support of our campus community. You can be a part of that success by making a financial gift today, or by donating any of the following food items need by our pantry.

Food Pantry Needs

We need these food items:

Canned meats (examples: tuna, chicken, salmon, etc.)

Canned and boxed meals (examples: soup, chili, stew, mac & cheese)

Peanut butter and other nut butters

Canned or dried beans and peas

Pasta, rice, cereal, dry mixes (example: pancake mix, muffin and cake mix)

Oatmeal packets

Canned fruits and vegetables100% fruit or vegetable juices (canned, plastic, or boxed)

Pasta sauce, tomato sauce, etc.

Shelf-stable milk (example: dry milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk)

Healthy snacks (example: granola bars, crackers, nuts, dried fruit)

Any healthy, low-fat and/or low-sugar products (example: jelly, jam, etc.)

Condiments (example: ketchup, mustard, spices, etc.) 

Hot drinks and related items (example: instant coffees, tea bags, individual bags of hot chocolate, etc.)

To ensure safety, we can NOT accept:

Perishable items 

Alcoholic beverages 

Open or used items 

Homemade items 

Expired items 

Rusty or unlabeled cans
