Web Editing Tips & Tricks
When saving an image's file name or a webpage's URL: don't use spaces; do use hyphens ( - ) instead of underscores ( _ ).
Try to avoid using PDFs whenever possible. Here's a guide for approaching the PDF question: PDF Curation: A Guide to Digital Compliance. Contact me if you would like any help converting PDF information into accessible forms or webpages.
For links & buttons:
- Make the text brief but descriptive
- Instead of "Click here", describe what clicking will actually do or where the link will actually lead
- Avoid having multiple links on the same page which have the same text but go to different locations
See the TTU guide for building accessible webpages for more.
