Gear Up; CASNR Student Success Center rolls out newly-designed t-shirt, cap

Two standout organizations housed within CASNR's Dr. Bill Bennett Student Success Center are set to dress you for success, or at minimum make it clear that you're easily identifiable with Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
The newly-designed $10 t-shirts are sold by the Agri-Techsan organization as a fundraiser for the student group. The gray t-shirt features the university's iconic mascot, the Masked Rider. Meantime, $10 baseball-style caps, which come in black or khaki and also highlight a Masked Rider logo, are being offered by the Ambassadors for Agriculture also as a fundraiser.
Both student organizations do yeoman's work in promoting the college, said Rachel Bobbitt, CASNR's Coordinator of Student Programs.
The Agri-Techsans are the official student recruiters for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. The undergraduates can come from every department, and bring with them different backgrounds from rural areas to large metropolitan areas. They give tours of the college's facilities, including the horticultural gardens and the meat laboratory on campus, as well as the research farm at New Deal, and the Texas Tech Equestrian Center in southwest Lubbock.
The Ambassadors for Agriculture are dedicated to spreading the story of American agriculture and opportunities for youth in the broad fields of agriculture and natural resources, said Lori Dudley, CASNR Coordinator of Student Development. They're available to speak on motivational and informative topics relating to youth opportunities at banquets, high school assemblies or classes, commencement exercises, agricultural science classes, and other similar types of meetings, she said.
