Six standout individuals have been tapped to join Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources’ Advisory Board, program officials announced this month.

Davis College Dean Clint Krehbiel explained that the board is comprised of 24 members who represent the college's seven departments, along with the college's development and alumni relations office. While members come from varied backgrounds, all share a desire to serve the college and to further the aims and goals of the departments, he said. This, in turn, is expected to improve the resources available to Davis College and its students.

The board’s first scheduled meeting was held on Thursday afternoon (Aug. 15) at the Texas Tech Dairy Barn. The session coincided with the Davis College Faculty & Staff Awards Ceremony later that evening at the McKenzie Merket Alumni Center. The advisory board agenda called for a state of the college presentation from Krehbiel, as well as a discussion of Davis College’s latest strategic initiative known as ‘Pursuit of Prime.’ It is an ambitious goal to be in the top 10% in every area, not just in the beef realm.
