Texas Tech has appointed Melanie Jackson as the new Lead Web Developer for the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, the university announced this week. Jackson officially began her role on Nov. 1, taking the helm of the colleges digital communications and online coding presence.

“Im beyond delighted to dig into the Davis College web presence,” Jackson said. “Our students, faculty and staff are working on amazing projects across the board; anything I can do to help get the rest of the world connected to their work is exciting.”
In her new position, Jackson will play a key role in elevating the Davis Colleges website, steering content development, management and optimization, including its seven academic departments, and eight affiliated research centers and institutes, and advancing the digital footprint of the PRIME campaign.
“The stories and projects happening across Davis College deserve to be seen and shared, and enhancing our website is essential to bringing those experiences to our students, faculty and industry stakeholders,” said Mary Moenning, Davis College Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications.
“Jacksons expertise and leadership will help us build a more connected, intentional, and forward-thinking experience for our website users, especially as we bring the PRIME campaign to life online.”
A Lubbock native, Jackson earned both her bachelors degree in landscape architecture and masters degree in land and property development from Texas A&M University. She joined Davis College after serving as a Multimedia Specialist with Texas Techs Department of Plant & Soil Science, where she developed digital media and web content for faculty research and outreach initiatives.
