The Bill Bennett Student Success Center is the heart of Davis College’s commitment to recruiting, retaining, and supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders. By providing essential resources and guidance, the Center ensures that Davis College students thrive academically, socially, and professionally.

The SSC serves as a hub for:

  • Student Support Services - Offering critical information, advising, and resources to help students navigate their college journey.
  • Student Organizations and Activities - Coordinating and enhancing student engagement through clubs, leadership development, and campus-wide events.
  • Faculty and Staff Collaboration - Supporting the academic mission of Davis College through partnership and innovation.

For eight years, Dr. Cindy Akers led the Center with passion and dedication, leaving a legacy of excellence that we aim to sustain and expand.

Scholarship Endowments

To build on this foundation, we are establishing an endowment for a permanent director of the Bill Bennett Student Success Center. This endowment will ensure consistent leadership, stability, and innovation for the Center’s programs. Additionally, it will provide:

  • Support for Student Activities: Funding for leadership programs, professional development, and extracurricular activities that enhance the student experience.
  • Operational Resources: Ensuring the Center has the tools and technology to meet the evolving needs of students and staff.

The Bill Bennett Student Success Center is critical to the mission of Davis College: producing ethical, engaged leaders who are prepared to meet the needs of West Texas and beyond.

A two-year program offering experiential learning with business, political, and academic leaders at the state and national levels. This selective program has a proven record of driving student success, career placement, and personal growth.

About the MILE Program  Support MILE

A selective program that cultivates high-quality talent for the agricultural finance industry. Students gain hands-on experience in banking, insurance, risk, and wealth management, often collaborating with the Rawls College of Business on specialized programs in banking and real estate.

Support EIAF

The Agricultural Policy Advocacy (APA) program is an innovative new program offered through Davis College designed to prepare students to engage in policy analysis and advocacy. Students take part in specialized courses and opportunities, culminating in a one-year fellowship at a state or federal government agency—helping to place Red Raiders at the forefront of policy decisions.
