Varian Unity Inova 500 MHz Spectrometer

SCX Mini

The Varian Unity INOVA 500 is a two full-band channel instrument with Z-gradients capability and a waveform generator on channel one. Two 5 mm pulsed-field-gradient (pfg) Varian probes are available. The indirect probe is used for high sensitivity proton observed work. This probe has a limited temperature range of -20 C to +80 C. The switchable probe is used for nuclei in the range of 15N to 31P, and routine proton. This probe has a temperature range of -100 C to +150 C. An FTS Systems temperature controller is used to provide precise temperatures from -20 C to +80 C for most work. The host computer is a networked Dell Precision T5810 workstation running CentOS6.8 operating system and VNMRJ 4.2 NMR software. This instrument was purchased in 1999 through funds made available from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

NMR facility staff will analyze NMR samples on this 500 MHz instrument after completion and submission of the 500 MHz NMR Spectrometer - Service Request Form.
