Congratulations Dr. Qixuan Zheng

Dr. Qixuan Zheng

Congratulations to Dr. Qixuan (Ethan) Zheng (Dr. Hutchins, advisor) for successfully defending his dissertation entitled “Synthesis of Pharmaceutical Co-crystals and Functionalized Polymers for Micropollutant Remediation”. Dr. Zheng is now off to join J-Star Research, Inc. in Cranbury, NJ as a Senior Scientist where he will continue his work on pharmaceutical crystals. We wish him the best of luck with his new career and happy crystal growing into the future.

Congratulations Dr. Shipra Garg

Dr. Shipra Garg

Congratulations to Dr. Shipra Garg (Dr. Krempner advisor) for successfully defending her dissertation entitled "Design and Synthesis of Abundant Lewis Acid Catalysts for Reductive Etherifications, Hydrogenation of Imines and Cycloaddition Reactions". After completing her studies here at TTU, Dr. Garg joined Silatronix, Inc. in Madison, WI as a synthetic chemist. We wish her the best of luck in her new position and hope for a mild winter.

Congratulations Dr. Yangxue Liu

Congratulations to Dr. Yangxue Liu (Dr. Li advisor) for successfully defending her dissertation entitled “Multi-Layer 3D Chirality: Design, Synthesis and Applications”. During her time here at TTU, Dr. Liu synthesized and crystallized a number of multi-layer chiral molecules (see below) which were always interesting structurally. We wish her the best of luck as she embarks on the next chapter of her life.
