College of Engineering Graduate Students Recruitment and Completion Grant

About the grant:

The College of Engineering offers a limited number of competitive grants to support the recruitment and completion of graduate students. Each grant provides up to five months of standard Research Assistant (RA) support. Applications are accepted year-round and are reviewed within two weeks of submission. Funding decisions are based on merit and the availability of funds. To be eligible, faculty must provide compelling evidence that:

1. An external grant is expected to begin within 5 months, or
2. A reasonably sized external grant has ended, and the student is expected to graduate or be picked up by another grant within 5 months.

Guidelines for applications:

Applications can be submitted here. A decision will be made within two weeks of submitting the application, and the outcome will be communicated directly to the applicant. If approved, the applicant’s unit/business manager will also be notified. For any questions, please contact Ms. Julie Farley.
