Amy has been instrumental in ensuring Texas Tech is in compliance with Title IX and the Violence Against Women's Act. Within only a couple of months, Amy has completely reformatted the intake and adjudication process for Title IX complaints, made voluminous policy and procedural changes to the Code of Student Conduct, and modernized the internal administrative culture surrounding sexual violence at Texas Tech. To Amy's immeasurable credit, the Board of Regents enthusiastically approved all proposed changes in policy ensuring that Texas Tech is not only compliant with a perpetually evolving series of federal mandates, but more importantly that Texas Tech is a safe, compassionate, and capable institution for managing and resolving reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault.
