As the Unit Coordinator, the Psychological Sciences department would simply not survive without Mark's hard work. As just one example, he has spearheadedthe management of the department's grant funded research. Mark has gladly taken on this task and quickly learned all he could about the nuances of managing federally funded research, both at pre- and post-award. Faculty's grant-funded research simply would not happen without him. In less than a year he taught himself so much information about the technicalities of grant funded research and has even assisted other departments with grant administration. This area of work is an example of his willingness to pitch in and help with anything that's asked of him. He does all of this with a smile and is truly invested in his work.
