As an Assistant Director in the Office of International Affairs, Rachel Massey's dedication to Texas Tech study abroad students was demonstrated in the way she handled a student crisis in South Korea during the fall of 2016. The Vice Provost for International Affairs personally and publicly lauded her professionalism, comparing her to diplomats he worked with in the U.S. Department of State.
In addition, as a result of her extensive experience with international service-learning program development, execution, and assessment, Texas Tech was named a strategic partner of the non-profit organization International Partnership for Service Learning (IPSL). This partnership greatly enhanced the program options available to Texas Tech students. Rachel's commitment to excellence is positively impacting students on a worldwide stage.
