Jeannine McCoy exhibits a strong work ethic and has an honest, forthright, and direct manner which is vital to her role as a Senior Buyer. Her ability to work independently and solve problems is what sets her apart. In Natural Resources Management we constantly have requests that do not fit the normal University purchasing needs. She purchases everything from the usual pens & paper, to corn and tuna, which are bait to capture bears or quail, to carbohydrate and leaf area analyzers, to trucks. Whether she is purchasing radio-telemetry equipment from Sweden, arranging to rent housing for students working in remote areas from New Mexico to Vermont, or buying a treadmill for an iguana, she has had to find ways to solve our unique purchasing issues. She has cultivated the necessary useful connections to the people, both at Texas Tech and with outside vendors, who are key to helping with our purchasing needs. Jeannine's abilities enable the rest of us to focus on the bigger picture for Natural Resource Management.
