Assistant Academic Dean
School of Law

Ashley demonstrates commitment to Texas Tech by her willingness to adapt and champion her current and new responsibilities without sacrificing productivity and maintaining excellence. Being a talented individual, during statewide mandated budget cuts, she was able to take on seamlessly the very crucial Communications duties. Communications was an entirely different department at the time of the reorganization. With her talents and wise use of resources, she is able to thrive at event planning, executing all of the law school's external relations functions for students, faculty, and alumni in style. Constituents leave the events with a sense of warmth and camaraderie. The emblematic event of the law school is the Annual Law School Scholarship Gala. The event has grown exponentially from when it started years ago and has raised more money for student scholarships each year since Ashley has overseen the event. She has added her special touch, particularly at the 50th Law School Anniversary Scholarship Gala. She thoughtfully included alumni, faculty, staff, and current students into the celebration highlighting the rich history of the law school. Ultimately, the event raised $130,000 in scholarship funds for students, which represents steady progress in law school fundraising efforts. This is a significant accomplishment as a result of a well-executed event. Ashley has also demonstrated her steadfast commitment to Tech Law when she brought back the publication of the annual alumni magazine. She endeavors to showcase more student stories in the magazine to enrich the content and recognize the effectiveness of the scholarship fundraising along with providing inspiration for alumni to consider a planned gift. Ashley's wise use of her many gifts and talents has made a major impact on the success of the Texas Tech School of Law.
