Lanna's work truly shows that she is an advocate for students. She believes in the power of international education and will work to do everything in her power to ensure students have this opportunity. She works for students to ensure they receive all resources available to make an informed decision about study abroad. Her persistence and continued, honest communication leads to a deeper connection with students and in turn, student commitment to study abroad programs. Her passion for study abroad also drives her ability to effectively promote international opportunities. In her two years of service to Texas Tech, the nominee has successfully developed new student recruitment pipelines for the TTU Center in Sevilla. These include renewed relationships around campus in Lubbock, but also at other TTU campuses and academic sites including the Waco and Hill Country sites. Outside of Texas Tech, the nominee has built connections and programs with North Dakota State University, the University of Oklahoma and New Mexico Military Institute. These partnerships continue to strengthen and diversify programming at the TTU Center in Sevilla and provide Texas Tech students the opportunity to connect with other US students while studying abroad. Lanna's outstanding commitment to students has made an impact on a global scale.
