Improvements in Gut (Microbial) Metabolism with Walnut Consumption

The aim of the proposed study is to examine how a walnut enriched diet affects the functionality of the gut microbiome (expression of functional genes), and how this differs from a fatty acid matched diet devoid of walnuts and a diet where oleic acid replaces alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
