Choose Your Dual Credit Path

Texas Tech offers several ways to participate in dual credit. Choose the option that describes how you plan to take courses, and we'll direct you to the correct application.

8-Week Online Dual Credit

Choose this application if you want to enroll in an instructor-led Texas Tech course offered on a fixed 8-week schedule.

8-week courses include weekly assignments and deadlines and provide an online college classroom experience.

Self-Paced Dual Credit

Choose this option if you want to enroll in an individual, self-paced, dual credit course.

Self-paced courses offer greater flexibility and allow students to progress through their coursework on a more independent schedule.

College Preparatory Academy

Choose this option if you are applying to the Texas Tech K-12 College Preparatory Academy.

The College Preparatory Academy is a structured, six-year pathway combining high school and college coursework and requires students to enroll full time with Texas Tech K-12.

Not Sure Which Option to Choose?

Choose 8-Week Online if you want an instructor-led university course with established dates and weekly deadlines.

Choose Self-Paced if you want an individual college course with more flexibility for you to complete your work.

Choose College Preparatory Academy if you want to enroll full time with Texas Tech K-12 and follow a structured high school-to-college pathway.
