Our Purpose
TRiO Student Support Services fosters a connected community that promotes student success through holistic learning experiences for First Generation, students with financial need, and students with disabilities.
Our Mission
TRIO SSS advances student success through community, holistic programming, and tailored support, empowering first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities to achieve their goals.
Our Vision
TRIO SSS envisions a campus where every student feels they belong, is supported holistically, and graduates ready to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
To qualify for TRiO SSS, a student must:
- Be a citizen or national of the United States or meet the residency requirement for Federal Student Financial Assistance
- Be enrolled in at least six credit hours at Texas Tech
- Be seeking a bachelor's degree
And meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be a first-generation college student (Parents do not have a four-year college degree)
- Meet federal income guidelines to qualify as low-income
- Be registered with TTU Student Disability Services
