Ashlee W. Brown serves as the Assistant Vice Provost for TTU Online at Texas Tech University, where she brings extensive experience in higher education administration, academic advising, and student retention. Brown earned her Ph.D. in Family & Consumer Sciences Education from Texas Tech University, with a dissertation focused on the development of interdisciplinary degrees in Human Sciences. She also holds a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from the same institution. 

Brown's professional journey at Texas Tech University spans multiple roles, including Assistant Professor of Practice and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Student Services in the College of Health and Human Sciences. She has been instrumental in various administrative capacities, from leading academic advising teams to serving as the Director of Academic Advising and Student Retention. 

In addition to her administrative roles, Brown finds joy as an educator, teaching courses such as Introduction to Human Sciences and Foundation to Human Sciences. Her commitment to student success is further evidenced by her involvement in numerous university committees and organizations, including the Executive Member of the TTU Committee for Advising Retention and Student Success (CARS), President of the TTU Staff Senate, and Advisor for the Phi Upsilon Omega Honor Society. 

A member of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and a participant in the Texas Academic Leadership Academy, Brown is thrilled to continue to contribute to the academic community through leadership, teaching, and service.
