Accessibility Training & Townhall Reminder

The Digital Accessibility Committee is pleased to introduce a comprehensive slate of web and digital accessibility trainings for the Texas Tech community. 
 
These offerings are designed to support faculty and staff in creating inclusive digital environments. The curriculum covers everything from foundational accessibility concepts to deep dives into specific remediation strategies using our institutional tools. 
 
Training Schedule & Topics Offerings will begin on January 26. As the semester progresses, we will continue to roll out sessions covering a wide variety of essential topics, starting with: 

  • Accessibility Overview: Fundamental concepts and standards.
  • Web Remediation: Identifying and fixing issues using Silktide and Modern Campus.
  • Document Accessibility: Best practices for Word and PDF documents.
  • Social Media Accessibility: Information about the inherent accessibility feature across many different social media platforms
  • Canvas Accessibility: Creating accessible courses (Faculty Focus).
  • Multimedia & Design: Captioning, Social Media accessibility and Canva design.

Custom Training & Consultation

In addition to the scheduled webinars, we are offering targeted support for departments, colleges, or small groups. You may request one-on-one remediation time or group training sessions to review specific topics or content relevant to your area.

Townhall Reminder
