Appearances & Visiting Spirit Squads

Bring Texas Tech spirit to your event or coordinate a visit to campus by your institution's spirit program. Use the information below to request an appearance by Texas Tech Cheer, Pom or Raider Red or to submit information for a visiting collegiate spirit squad.

Request a Spirit Squad Appearance

Texas Tech Spirit Squads are available for select university, community, school, nonprofit, business and personal events. Depending on availability and the request, an appearance may include Texas Tech Cheer, Pom, Raider Red or a combination of spirit groups.

Approved Cheer or Pom appearances generally include two to four team members and may include chants, cheers and photo opportunities. Raider Red may also be requested for eligible events.

Submit your appearance request at least three weeks before your event. Requests submitted with less notice may not be granted and may be subject to a $100 late fee.

Submitting a request does not guarantee an appearance. Requests are reviewed based on team schedules, academic commitments, athletic events and member availability. An appearance is not fully confirmed until the request has been approved and required payment has been received.

Appearance Fees

Appearance fees are assessed for each spirit group requested and approved. For example, a request for Cheer or Pom is assessed one appearance fee. If Cheer or Pom and Raider Red are both requested and approved, separate fees apply to each group.

Appearance Type Appearance Fee
Corporate or Business Events $750 per hour
Personal Events $500 per hour
Nonprofit Organizations and TTU Registered Student Organizations $250 per hour
TTU Departments $300 per hour
Preschool and K-12 Schools $200 per hour

Appearance fees directly support the Texas Tech Spirit Program.

If an approved appearance is more than 20 miles from campus, using the Texas Tech Student Union Building as the departure point, a mileage charge of $0.50 per mile for the entire round trip will be added to the invoice. Applicable parking expenses must also be covered by the event or complimentary parking must be provided.
