Using TechConnect

  • Browse organizations based on your interests.
  • Read organization descriptions and learn about their activities.
  • View available officer and organization contact information.

Choosing an Organization

You do not need to know exactly what you are looking for before you begin. Start with the interests, activities or experiences you want to explore and use those terms to search TechConnect.

As you consider organizations, think about:

  • What interests, causes or activities are important to you?
  • Do you want to develop professional or academic connections?
  • Are you looking for leadership or service opportunities?
  • How much time do you want to commit?
  • What kind of community or experience are you looking for?

You can explore more than one organization before deciding where you want to become involved. Meetings, events and conversations with current members can help you determine whether an organization is a good fit.

Contact an Organization

If you find an organization you are interested in, open its TechConnect profile to view available organization and officer contact information. You can use that information to ask about meetings, membership requirements and upcoming opportunities to get involved.

Membership requirements vary by organization. Some organizations are open to any interested student, while others may have eligibility requirements, applications, interviews or other membership processes.

Can't Find the Organization You're Looking For?

If you have an idea for an organization that does not already exist at Texas Tech, you may be able to start a new registered student organization. Begin by searching TechConnect to make sure another organization does not already serve the same purpose.
