Eric Hequet – Horn Professor and Fiber and Biopolymer Research Institute faculty – has been elected as treasurer and executive committee member for the International Cotton Researchers Association (ICRA).
The IRCA was formed in 2012 to build international communication and collaboration among cotton researchers, provide a unified voice on cotton research, and advise host countries in managing and running the World Cotton Research Conference. Its creation was spearheaded by the International Cotton Advisory Committee, which has long aimed to serve the cotton and textile community through promotion, knowledge sharing, innovation, and providing a forum for discussion of internationally significant cotton issues.
