The Institute of Genomics for Crop Abiotic Stress Tolerance

Established at Texas Tech in 2018, the Institute of Genomics for Crop Abiotic Stress Tolerance (IGCAST) focuses on using state-of-the-art functional genomics to study plant tolerance to different types of abiotic stress - such as drought, salinity, heat, cold, and low nutrient availability - and the use of synthetic biology for crop improvement.
