PSS undergrad Jonathan Peters is the recipient of the Professional Soil Scientists Association of Texas (PSSAT) 2020-2021 Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes and supports outstanding undergraduates in soil science and is awarded on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricular engagement, leadership, and work ethic.
Peters — a Junior who expects to graduate in December 2021 — is the sole recipient of this year's PSSAT Scholarship. In addition to majoring in Plant and Soil Science with an emphasis in Environmental Soil and Water, Peters is an Army veteran and currently on the TTU President's Honor List.
The award was announced at the PSSA annual meeting in February.
