Xuantong (Tony) Wang, Ph.D.

Dr. Xuantong Wang is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Center of Geospatial Technology at Texas Tech University, with expertise in geospatial big data analytics, geovisualization, and high-performance geospatial computing. His research focuses on the intersection of sustainability, socioeconomic activity, and human mobility, with a special emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence in decision-making. Currently, Dr. Wang is working on projects related to connected vehicle and smart transportation technology to support traffic safety management. He is also collaborating with UNRISD to develop subnational sustainability indicators.
