Raider Coaching provides individualized support for Texas Tech students who want to better understand their substance use, make informed decisions and identify strategies that support their health and goals. RISE also offers specialized programs for students completing requirements through the Office of Student Conduct.

Coaching & Support Options
Choose the option that best matches your needs. If you were referred by the Office of Student Conduct, use the instructions in your referral letter when selecting a service.
Raider Restart
Raider Restart provides individual and group sessions with a trained facilitator for students who want to discuss alcohol or cannabis use. Sessions offer a nonjudgmental space to reflect on substance use, consider personal goals and identify strategies for reducing negative consequences.
Raider Restart is also available to students referred through the Office of Student Conduct.
BASICS
BASICS provides individualized alcohol education through two one-on-one sessions with a trained facilitator. The program focuses on alcohol use and its relationship to health, wellness and academic success.
BASICS may be required as part of a Student Conduct referral.
Wellness Coaching
Looking for support that is not focused on substance use? RISE also offers complimentary Wellness Coaching focused on personal growth, healthy habits, stress, self-care and overall well-being.
Recovery Support
Students interested in recovery-focused support can connect with the Center for Students in Addiction Recovery for community, academic support and recovery resources.
Alcohol & Drug Education
RISE also provides educational resources for students who want to learn more about alcohol or other drugs, understand potential risks or find additional support.
Alcohol Education
Learn how alcohol affects the body, understand standard drinks and blood alcohol concentration, recognize alcohol poisoning and explore ways to reduce alcohol-related risk.
Drug Education
Learn about commonly used substances, cannabis, stimulants, opioids, fentanyl, overdose warning signs and ways to reduce substance-related risk.

RISE coaching provides a nonjudgmental environment where students can reflect on their experiences, identify goals and connect with resources that support their health and well-being.
Schedule a Session
Students can schedule a coaching appointment online. If you are completing a requirement from the Office of Student Conduct, refer to your Student Conduct letter before choosing a session.
