RISE's free assessment can help you identify areas of your life that are going well and areas that may benefit from more attention.
The assessment looks across eight interconnected dimensions and can be a useful starting point for setting goals, finding resources or preparing for a Wellbeing Coaching session.
Eight Dimensions of Wellbeing

These eight dimensions are interconnected. Like spokes on a wheel, each contributes to your overall health and quality of life. Challenges in one area can affect other parts of your life, while positive changes in one area can have benefits elsewhere.
Use the descriptions and Texas Tech resources below to consider where you are doing well and where additional support may be helpful.
Physical
This dimension focuses on caring for your body through healthy habits, physical activity, rest and appropriate health care.

Emotional
This dimension includes emotional awareness, self-confidence, self-esteem and your ability to recognize, understand and respond to emotions.
Resources:Student Counseling Center, Shmoody, Family Therapy Clinic and Wellbeing Coaching.
Educational
This dimension considers your experience with school or work, including whether it aligns with your values, provides healthy challenges and gives you a sense of fulfillment.

Social
This dimension includes your relationships with others, involvement in your community and sense of connection and belonging.

Intellectual
This dimension includes creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, intellectual engagement and opportunities for lifelong learning.

Financial
This dimension includes financial knowledge, money-management skills and your ability to balance financial needs, available resources and future goals.

Environmental
This dimension considers the spaces around you, including safety, cleanliness, livability and your relationship with the natural and built environment.

Spiritual
This dimension includes your sense of purpose and meaning, guiding principles, inner peace and practices that help you connect with your values.

Wellbeing Coaching
Ready to turn what you have learned into action? RISE offers free, one-on-one Wellbeing Coaching for Texas Tech students.
Coaching gives you space to reflect on your goals, identify areas you want to strengthen and develop practical strategies that fit your life.
Shmoody
Texas Tech students can access Shmoody, a mental health app with tools designed to help users build positive habits, track their mood and take practical steps to feel better and support their overall health.
RISE provides Texas Tech students with access to Shmoody's premium features at no cost.
Find More Support
Different circumstances call for different kinds of support. Texas Tech offers resources for mental health, physical health, academics, basic needs, safety and other student concerns.
