About Me

Dr. Nanny Wenzlow, is a Board-Certified Anatomic Veterinary Pathologist with a DVM degree from Belgium and residency training from Switzerland and the UK. After a few months of private diagnostic pathology service in the UK, Dr. Wenzlow joined the University of Florida initially as a clinical instructor for anatomic pathology, then pursued a PhD in molecular forensics pathology. She also completed an at the time ‘one-time-created’ two-year fellowship for Veterinary Forensic Pathology and is the first certificate holder for Veterinary Forensic Pathology in North America. Dr. Wenzlow was an Assistant Professor at the University of Montreal (Canada) for three years and for two years at the Louisiana State University before joining Texas Tech University's Schoool of Veterinary Medicine in February 2024 as Associate Professor for Anatomic and Forensic Veterinary Pathology.

Instruction

Her teaching focuses on training veterinary students in anatomic pathology, disease diagnosis, and postmortem examinations. She is also the current coordinator for the anatomic pathology residency, a new developing program at the School of Veterinary Medicine and actively teaches all aspects of anatomic and forensic veterinary pathology.

Research

Dr. Wenzlow’s research interests are mainly centered on Veterinary Forensic Pathology as well as on collaborative research of gastrointestinal diseases in horses.

Service

Dr. Wenzlow is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologist and a certificate holder for Forensic Veterinary Pathology. She provides diagnostic service for Forensic Veterinary Pathology at the School of Veterinary Medicine.
