Incoming Student Required Items

All DVM students must have an iPad to use during their pre-clinical years. The device will be utilized for core course examinations, in conjunction with handheld ultrasounds, to access veterinary-specific apps, review electronic materials in Canvas, and annotate electronic notes as needed.

Key iPad Requirements:

• Supported Hardware: iPad 5th generation or newer, iPad Air 3rd generation or newer, iPad Mini 5th generation or newer, and all iPad Pro models.
• Operating System: iPadOS 17.6 or higher, including iPadOS 18.
• Storage: Minimum 500 MB of free space.
• Restrictions: Jailbroken devices are not supported.
• Internet: A stable connection is required to download and upload exams.
• Input: External keyboards (Bluetooth or USB) are allowed.
• For ExamID/ExamMonitor: A functioning integrated or external camera is required, with 4GB or higher available space.
