About Me

SaraBeth Boggan is an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Practice in Parasitology. She grew up in the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by wildlife, livestock and horses before moving to Stephenville, Texas and attending Tarleton State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Wildlife, Sustainability, and Ecosystem Sciences. While at Tarleton, she earned her Associate Wildlife Biologist certification and spent several years studying parasites and anthelminthics in bison. She then joined the inaugural cohort of One Health PhD students at the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine, where she focused her research on the One Health implications of parasites.

Instruction

Her instruction focuses on veterinary parasitology.

Research

Her research agenda spans areas of veterinary & wildlife parasitology, disease ecology, zoonotic diseases, and human-wildlife interactions.

Service

SaraBeth has served on multiple state and national committees and working groups. She is a proud and long-standing member of The Wildlife Society, Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society, American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists, and American Society of Parasitologists. As well as enjoying volunteering in the local community.
