This event will help raise funds and get the school’s dogs adopted to forever homes.
WHAT:
Texas Tech University's School of Veterinary Medicine will host a spring event for the community.
WHEN:
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (April 27)
WHERE:
Mariposa Station, 807 N Loop 335 W, Amarillo, Texas, 79124
EVENT:
The School of Veterinary Medicine invites community members to bring their family and friends out to the school's Barks and Recreation event.
They'll have a chance to meet the school's teaching dogs for future adoption, shop for locally made items, participate in a silent auction, and listen to live music. There also will be various activities for kids such as a petting zoo, face painting station, crafts and bouncy houses.
If you are looking for a new best friend, then there are 13 wonderful and well-trained dogs that need a forever home. These dogs are provided by the Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare for students to help train, perform physical exams and more throughout their school semester.
Even if you aren't looking for a dog, you can still join the fun.
