Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine Student Veterinary Oath

Being admitted as a professional veterinary medical student at the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, I promise to develop my scientific and medical knowledge and skills so that upon graduation, I benefit society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.

Throughout my time here as a professional veterinary medical student, I will foster the School’s Core Values, and conduct myself with dignity and professionalism, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.

Today I commence and publicly commit to a lifelong journey that includes an obligation of continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.
