Auxiliary Services is a division of Administration & Finance that extends beyond the learning environment of classrooms. We are the Golden Thread which enhances the Red Raider quality of education through student experiences and services. Patrick Albritton is the Associate Vice President of Auxiliary Services.

  • Join us in celebrating the achievements of Morgan Mojica, Sebastion Pekowski and Shalisa Benavides, who have earned prestigious certifications from the American Culinary Federation! Earning these certifications takes discipline, hours of practice and a deep commitment to the culinary craft. Congratulations!
  • Congratulations to Chef Jillian Woodard from The Market for earning a Bronze at the NACUFS Spring Conference Culinary Challenge. This high-stakes competition showcases incredible talent within collegiate dining. Congratulations Chef!
  • Auxiliary Services received 13 professional awards, 43 student awards and a People’s Choice award at the 2025 American Advertising Awards! 23 Auxiliary Services student employees are pursuing degrees in a creative field. Their hard work in marketing Hospitality Services, University Student Housing, University Recreation and Student Union and Activities is greatly valued!
  • University Recreation has been featured as a standout aquatics program in an article by Athletic Business for their unique, outside of the box thinking used to attract students to the aquatics facilities.
  • Texas Tech University Hospitality Services was awarded Gold for the Catering Special Event of the Year and Bronze for the Employee Development Program of the Year from the NACUFS Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards! These awards celebrate exemplary menus, presentations, special event planning and new dining concepts at the collegiate level.
  • In partnership with local charities, Texas Tech University Student Housing has donated over 600 mattresses, 106 pallets of donated goods and 8 red carts full of abandoned property to the greater West Texas community this year.
  • Kirk Rodriguez, senior director of hospitality services, has received the highest honor awarded by the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS), the Theodore W. Minah Distinguished Service Award. Congratulations Kirk, and thank you for your dedication!
  • D’aun Green, Managing Director of University Student Housing, has been honored with the prestigious Parthenon Award—the highest recognition granted by the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International. This award celebrates exemplary leadership, service and lasting contributions to the campus housing profession. Congratulations, D’aun!
