Students who have been admitted but experience extenuating circumstances that prevent them from attending Texas Tech during the term they were admitted, and wish to be considered for a one-time change to their admission must submit an Application Deferral Request under the Resources and Forms section of their RaiderConnect account.
Please read the following carefully to request a deferral of admission:
Deferral can be granted for medical reasons, and other requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Applications can be deferred up to one year from the start of the original application term. Submitting the request does not guarantee approval. You will be notified of the committee's decision. If this request is approved, you are responsible for withdrawing from classes, campus housing and any other applicable obligations with the University.
Please submit all documentation by August 1 for fall admission and October 1 for spring admission to:
