Why Texas Tech?

I was actually planning on attending the University of Washington. It had been my dream school since a young age. However, life happened. So I applied to Tech on a whim last minute and before I knew it was attending Red Raider Orientation and moving on campus! I absolutely love this school and I cannot imagine going anywhere else.

Tech Testimony

Texas Tech has given me more than I could have asked for. Not only have I been given a great education, I've also made some terrific friends and experienced some great opportunities. Tech is continuously challenging me to grow and change to become a better person. Texas Tech isn't where I wanted to be at first but it is definitely where I needed to be.

Most Memorable Experience

My most memorable experience would have to be studying abroad. Through Tech's study abroad program, I got the opportunity to see beautiful sights in Europe and meet some very wonderful people while still getting course credit!

Opportunities

My freshman year I was an active member of the First Generation Pegasus program, Pre-Pharmacy Society and Habitat for Humanity. Since then, I have served as the Service Officer for Kappa Delta Chi and as an Orientation Leader for Red Raider Orientation. I recently studied abroad and plan on getting more involved with other organizations.

Words of Wisdom

To a prospective student, explore your options and go where you feel comfortable. Once you have enrolled, don't get too comfortable. Join clubs, go for a walk and talk to people! Texas Tech has such a friendly environment and there are so many opportunities here for you to find your place.
